"...okay I'm thinking the Spar? It's cool and low-key, a great
place to meet members of the opposite sex."
We began principle shooting for 'Limbo' in April 2005. It took nearly 6 months to
complete wrapping up in mid-October. Over the course of the those months we
shot in many locations in and around the Tacoma area. This is a list of several places
we specifically chose to use and we owe a huge thank you to them. We want to give
back to those helped us out so much and help the community all at the same time.
Please visit their sites or better yet visit in person and see just how interesting and what
an addition they are to our area.

Many locations where chosen across the greater Tacoma area
because of their atmosphere and vibe. Journalist Stacy Wagoner
interviewed the filmmakers about the locations that were used.
The following is a segment of that interview.
Stacy: Where are some of the scenes filmed?
Nick Snapp: The back lot of Santa Barbara. We made it
look like Tacoma.
Joe Rosati: Extremely good sound stages were used so we
had complete control of audio. Quite opposite. All filmed in
Tacoma, except for the fair scenes. One in Puyallup and
the other in Enumclaw.
Mike Winfrey: King County Fair.
JR: The coffee shop in Lakewood.
MW: Lacoste. The Spar,...in old town.
JR: Everything else was pretty much Tacoma.
MW: The Spar. Panamonicas. The Sheraton. The Harmon
Brewery on Pac Ave.
NS: Sundial Park. Jazzbones.
SW: Why those places?
NS: Tacoma isn’t that big.
JR: Tacoma is not big and they are the nicest, coolest places,
in Tacoma. I happen to know most of the people that worked
there. They allowed us to… They took sympathy on a guy
who used to run a club that knew he had no money. They
thought, “Well, he can’t really pay us, so we’d like free
advertising.”
NS: As my girlfriend said,“it makes Tacoma look cooler than it is.”
JR: Isn’t that what she said about what you shot?
Which is what we were going for. Or at least make it look cool.
“Hey, come here! Suckers!” (Laughing)
NS: “You idiots!” Tricked again.
MW: A bus load of people with “from Seattle” signs on
it shows up and they're all wearing 'Limbo" shirts!
NS: Limbo shirts! Who made those?
MW: He’s got the 'Limbo' traveling camera! That’s weird!
The interview decayed to the point where all they were talking about
was the new 'Limbo' beach towel and how to market Joe's bad fashion
statements in the film as the new fall line that is 'must have'!
